His drawings adorn the covers of many books and have been exhibited internationally, notably at a retrospective at the Reina Sofia Museum of Modern Art in Madrid. Bertil Scali was born in Paris in 1969 and worked as a reporter at Paris Match magazine, during which time he honed his talent for biographical writing. He wrote the historical novel Villa Windsor (2016) and co-wrote Hitler, My Neighbor: Memoirs of a Jewish Childhood (2013), which is available in 13 languages.
