Pierre Le-Tan was born in 1950 and began his career as an illustrator for The New Yorker in 1968. His drawings adorn the covers of many books and have been exhibited internationally, notably at a retrospective at the Reina Sofia Museum of Modern Art in Madrid.
Bertil Scali was born in Paris in 1969 and worked as a reporter at Paris Match magazine, during which time he honed his talent for biographical writing. He wrote the historical novel Villa Windsor (2016) and co-wrote Hitler, My Neighbor: Memoirs of a Jewish Childhood (2013), which is available in 13 languages.
