- Palm leave’s irregular texture is part of the fiber’s natural charm; it also highlights the special savoir-faire required to weave it. The uneven surface is not a flaw, but a natural feature of the material, a witness to its journey through time. Woven palm leaves should be treated with care. Because the material may alter slightly over time, it is recommended to avoid repeated rubbing. Should the piece become soiled, clean it gently with a soft, damp, light-colored cloth. Never use solvents. Dry the piece immediately with a soft, dry cloth so that the palm leaves fibers do not absorb water and swell. Finally, if your piece comes into contact with corrosives such as sand or salt, clean it gently with a soft-bristled brush.
