The architectural world tour continues. After Monaco (Palace Square), Palm Springs (Bob & Dolores Estate), Brazil (Mac Niteroi), Japan (Miho Museum), and the French Riviera (Fondation Maeght), Louis Vuitton’s next Cruise Collection will be presented at the iconic 1962 TWA Flight Center in New York. Designed by the famed Finnish-American architect Eero Saarinen at the dawn of the Jet Age, the masterpiece of mid-century modern architecture is one of the world’s most imaginative airport terminals. Designated as a historic landmark and closed to the public since 2001, the TWA Flight Center will soon be reopening as the TWA Hotel. Louis Vuitton will be the first to stage an event in the restored space before it opens to the public mid-May.

Following his first breakthrough hard case luggage collection for Louis Vuitton, Marc Newson has once again pushed the boundaries of travel design with his new Horizon Soft rolling luggage. With the goal of maximising interior volume while minimising weight, two essential elements when travelling, the design uses an innovative outer-shell made of thermo-formed 3D knit. The result is an incredibly lightweight and eye-catching double-sided jacquard featuring Newson's interpretation of Louis Vuitton's Monogram. Through an innovative process tailored to Louis Vuitton's specifications, a custom technical yarn is seamlessly knitted into a single piece that is given a water repellent treatment and then heat-formed to shape.

For the Men’s Spring-Summer 2019 Campaign, Artistic Director Virgil Abloh continues to illuminate the values established in his debut collection in this final chapter of his three-part campaign. Titled "School Teens" and shot by the Dutch photographer Raimond Wouda, the campaign depicts the formative communication between teenagers in group situations, fundamental to a man’s evolvement from boyhood into adulthood. Students dressed in block-colour t-shirts evoke the Spring-Summer 2019 Louis Vuitton Show, for which Virgil Abloh invited 1500 young students clad in similar garments to form the colour spectrum of a rainbow.
A contemporary take on the 'schuttersstukken' of the Dutch Baroque, the images were photographed around schools in Los Angeles and observe the interactive culture specific to our teenage years: the desire to belong, contrasting with the need for individuality.
