• OBJETS NOMADES AT FUORISALONE 2019 IN MILAN

Louis Vuitton's Objets Nomades Collection will be exclusively presented at Palazzo Serbelloni in Milan during Fuorisalone 2019.

Since its launch in 2012, the Louis Vuitton Objets Nomades has grown into a collection of forty-five limited edition travel-inspired objects, imagined by some of the world's most renowned designers: Barber&Osgerby, Campana Brothers, André Fu, Damien Langlois-Meurinne, Nendo, Gwenaël Nicolas, Raw Edges, Patricia Urquiola, Marcel Wanders, India Mahdavi e Tokujin Yoshioka and, most recently, Atelier Biagetti and Zanellato/Bortotto. Louis Vuitton will be unveiling the latest additions to the Collection at the Palazzo Serbelloni in Milan during Fuorisalone 2019.

Among the new pieces is Anemona by Milan-based Atelier Biagetti, which is a remarkable, glass-topped dining table with undulating base covered in soft beige leather. The Italian duo Zanellato/Bortotto makes its debut with Mandala, a tripartite screen of intricately woven leather inspired by nomadic craftmanship. A new selection of inventive, poetic work from established Objets Nomades designers includes the Campana Brothers' Bulbo, a cosy seat that transports the sitter in a cocoon-like tropical flower of leather and soft fabric. The duo Raw Edges’ Dolls are a set of joyously playful, endlessly customisable chairs that, like traditional Louis Vuitton trunks, can be hand-painted with unique designs. Marcel Wanders enriches the collection with four new objects: the beguiling pair of Diamond Sofa and Armchair with their bases of intertwined ash and rich leather upholstery; Venezia, a lamp inspired by traditional Venetian lanterns; and Diamond Vase, made of red, handblown Murano glass. India Mahdavi brings her lacquered Talisman tray, with its “benevolent eye” design, while Tokujin Yoshioka presents the Monogram pattern-inspired Blossom Vase, made of heavy, handcrafted Murano glass.

Les Parfums Louis Vuitton sets sail to conquer new sensorial territories with a collection of Cologne Perfumes: Sun Song, Cactus Garden, and Afternoon Swim.

An enchanting triptych of pop colors announces, enhances, and prolongs the feeling of summer in the newest Les Parfums Louis Vuitton Collection. Inspired by the notion of endless holidays and Californian spirit, the collection captures the sun, sky, gardens, and sea of warm-weather destinations: Sun Song, Cactus Garden, and Afternoon Swim. Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud calls these new scents Cologne Perfumes, a  term that unites the lightness of a citrust mist and the depth of flowers: "These are perfumes of light, with notes that burst to reveal all their inherent naturalness".

The new Cologne Perfumes go straight to what is essential, their architecture highlights the authenticity of a flower, a plant, or a fruit. Sun Song elevates the very charming orange blossom, in a perfume that is like the caress of a ray of sunlight. Cactus Garden invites maté, that singular, exotic tea, into a perfume that is like lounging on a sun-drench patio. Afternoon Swim ennobles the orange, that honest and ever-optimistic fruit, in a perfume that's like plunging into an ocean of pleasure. Spontaneous yet sophisticated, Les Colognes Perfumes convey the promise of adventure and the spirit of a fleeting summer.

LOUIS VUITTON CRUISE 2020 SHOW AT THE TWA FLIGHT CENTER - Louis Vuitton Fashion NEWS
Nicolas Ghesquière will present the Louis Vuitton Cruise 2020 Collection at the TWA Flight Center located at New York’s JFK Airport on the 8th of May, 2019.

The architectural world tour continues. After Monaco (Palace Square), Palm Springs (Bob & Dolores Estate), Brazil (Mac Niteroi), Japan (Miho Museum), and the French Riviera (Fondation Maeght), Louis Vuitton’s next Cruise Collection will be presented at the iconic 1962 TWA Flight Center in New York. Designed by the famed Finnish-American architect Eero Saarinen at the dawn of the Jet Age, the masterpiece of mid-century modern architecture is one of the world’s most imaginative airport terminals. Designated as a historic landmark and closed to the public since 2001, the TWA Flight Center will soon be reopening as the TWA Hotel. Louis Vuitton will be the first to stage an event in the restored space before it opens to the public mid-May.

A sheer evocation of travel itself, the TWA Flight Center embodies the spirit of exploration and experimentation at the heart of Louis Vuitton’s Art of Travel and represents an ideal that closely aligns with Nicolas Ghesquière’s core inspirations.
